CURRENT PROJECT STATUS & UPDATES:
7/7/2025 Construction of the grinder pumps, service laterals and electrical services is nearly completed across the project. All areas are still an active construction site with a lot of work to be done, but there won’t be much soil disturbance except where a few structures and electrical service panels are to be located. The Contractors will be working to pull electrical wires, install components of the grinder pumps, working on the service panels, testing the equipment for the upcoming weeks. The restoration crews will be working as weather allows to get all areas cleaned up and hydroseeded. Paving of the roads (ones that were already paved) will likely hold off until the Fall once all construction activities are completed. Once the Contractors are done with their work (September is the target) they will come back and touch up restoration in areas. The Town has an Inspector on-site with the Contractor to ensure all work is done properly and any damage to existing utilities or areas is fully repaired. 5/29/2025 Construction of the grinder pumps, service laterals and electrical services are currently completed in Breeze Lane, Shorelands neighborhood and Wooglin neighborhood. There will still be work done in these areas, but won’t be disturbing soil – we need to pull electrical wires, install components of the grinder pumps, etc. The restoration crews will be working as weather allows to get all areas cleaned up and hydroseeded ASAP. The Contractor is starting work on South Drive and North Drive today. The main pipelines will be installed first, then the crews will install the grinder pumps. Paving of the roads (ones that were already paved) will likely hold off until the Fall once all construction activities are completed. Survey stakeout has been occurring, please leave all stakes and flags in place during construction. The Town has an Inspector on-site with the Contractor to ensure all work is done property and any damage to existing utilities or areas is fully repaired. 5/8/2025 Construction of the grinder pumps, service laterals and electrical services are currently taking place on Lake Ave and Breeze Lane this week and next week – Iona Street, Shorelands Drive, and East Ave are done. The Contractors will then complete the homes along Wooglin closer to Rte 430, then South Drive after that. The restoration crews will start on Monday the 12th! They will start at the north end of Iona Street and work their way south. Paving of the roads (ones that were already paved) will likely hold off until the Fall once all construction activities are completed. Once the grinder pumps are in there won’t be much ground disturbance in the neighborhoods, but Contractors still need trucks in to get equipment into the system (electrical wires, pumps, etc). Survey stakeout has been occurring, please leave all stakes and flags in place during construction. The Town has an Inspector on-site with the Contractor to ensure all work is done property and any damage to existing utilities or areas is fully repaired.
