CURRENT PROJECT STATUS & UPDATES:
Homeowners Connection Letter 10/10/2025 The Town of Chautauqua is now allowing homeowners to connect to the grinder pumps and use the public sewer system! Please see the homeowner connection letter from the Town (hard copies will be mailed also). Paving of the roads (ones that were already paved) is scheduled for next week. We will notify homeowners once we have a date for paving and help coordinate with contractors and other work in the area. Please make sure your contractor completes and files the sewer lateral connection application with NCLSD before ANY work is done. If you have concerns, please reach out to Jenelle Geoghegan ([email protected] or 315-960-2922). 9/17/2025 The Contractors have been working quickly to get the grinder pump sewer system up and running, and we’re getting close to “substantial completion” of the project, meaning the system is up and running and people are able to connect. We are aiming to send out letters for homeowners to connect at the start of October (final date is TBD, but we’re working as quick as possible to get to that step). Startup and testing of the system will continue this week – about 40% has already been completed. The Contractors and National Grid will still be working to get things wrapped up over the next few weeks. You can expect to see cleanup restoration across all areas of the project (topsoil and hydroseed specifically). Paving of the roads (ones that were already paved) will likely be taking place within the next 1-2 weeks. Once the system is fully up and running, the Town will send out a formal letter to all homeowners letting them know they are able to connect (and a lot of details associated with this effort).
