REMINDER
Per the letter that went to all homeowners October 2025:
Homeowners will have two types of payments for the public sewer system:
1. Infrastructure:
The homeowners will pay for the infrastructure in their yearly town tax bill. The first time the homeowners will see this charge will be on their 2027 tax bill. The infrastructure amount is anticipated to be under $1,000.00 per year.
2. Operations and Maintenance:
This will be a quarterly bill sent from the town on behalf of the district. The amount will be $135.00 per quarter. For those connected, the first bill arrived April 2026. ALL HOMEOWNERS WILL RECEIVE THE JULY 2026 BILL.

CURRENT PROJECT STATUS & UPDATES:
CONNECTING TO THE SEWER SYSTEM: May is here and all homeowners should be connected to the public sewer system or be under a Contract with a Contractor to complete this work ASAP. It was a long hard winter, followed up by an unusually wet spring. If you have a Contractor lined up, we’ll continue to work with them to get connections completed as quickly as possible. As long as you continue to make progress (not delay the Contractor), you will be in compliance with the Town. Below are the 2 permits required to make the connection to the public sewer system - one for the connection, and one to decommission your septic tank. APPLICATIONS REQUIRED TO CONNECT: 1. NCLSD (North Chautauqua Lake Sewer District) for sewer lateral connection 2. Chautauqua County health Department Details to decommission your septic tank |
