The purpose of this law is to extend the temporary suspension on the processing, review, and approval of applications for Wind Energy Conversion Systems, providing the necessary time to align the Town’s zoning laws with the newly adopted Comprehensive Plan goals.
• At 7:20 PM: Proposed Local Law No. 4 of 2026, entitled "A Local Law Extending the Moratorium on Battery Energy Storage Systems." The purpose of this law is to extend the temporary suspension on the processing, review, and approval of applications for Battery Energy Storage Systems, allowing for the proper drafting of regulatory frameworks that match the newly adopted Comprehensive Plan policies.
• At 7:25 PM: Proposed Local Law No. 5 of 2026, entitled "A Local Law Extending the Moratorium on Commercial Solar Energy Facilities." The purpose of this law is to extend the temporary suspension on the processing, review, and approval of applications for Commercial Solar Energy Facilities during the implementation phase of the newly adopted Comprehensive Plan.
