Non-emergency: 716-753-2131 - For wildlife problems (raccoons, skunks, bats, etc.), contact the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) nuisance wildlife program
- Rabies or wild animal exposure concerns:

- All dogs in the Town of Chautauqua must be licensed by 6 months of age. Current rabies vaccination is required at the time of licensing Application to license a new dog in the Town of Chautauqua
- NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Law, Section 7, requires all dogs in New York State to be licensed with proof of rabies vaccination. License fees will be calculated for each year the rabies vaccination is valid.
- License fee is $13.00/year for unaltered dogs or $5.00/year with proof of spay/neuter certificate. The license schedule will follow the vaccination schedule on the most current vaccination certificate.
